About Nexus Gold – TSX.V: NXS
Nexus Gold Corp. is a Vancouver-based mineral exploration company that develops precious metal mineral assets in the world’s premier mining and exploration districts.
The company is currently concentrating its exploration efforts on the Walker Ridge Gold Project, a drill-ready, multiple target, Carlin-type gold exploration project located in the Independence/Jerritt Canyon Gold Trend, Nevada, USA.
Walker Ridge – Project Highlights
* Strategic Land Position – Walker Ridge represents a strategic land position (over 4500 acres) in an established multi-million oz gold trend. The project is permitted and drill-ready.
* “Elephant Country” – The Walker Ridge Project is located in the Jerritt Canyon/Independence Trend, one of five major gold trends in Nevada, directly between the Jerritt Canyon Property (includes 13 mines and deposits) (11Moz+ Au historic & current*), and the Big Springs Project (1.2Moz Au**).
* Multiple Targets – A 3200 x 3200 meter (2 sq. miles) bull’s-eye of highly-anomalous, geochemically defined gold pathfinder elements (antimony, arsenic, mercury) exists within the property. The pattern is suggestive of hydrothermal activity, which are the trigger events for Carlin-type gold deposition in Northeastern Nevada. Coincident geophysical anomalies both in gravity and resistivity indicate multiple drill targets.
* Carlin-Age Dating – Carlin-age (Eocene) igneous intrusions, verified through uranium-lead radiometric age dating*** (35.9m years) have been discovered on the property central to the geochemical/geophysical anomalies.
* Correlating Data Sets – A gravity survey completed in the fall of 2012 revealed a large central gravity low surrounded by a gravity high near the center of the property. This data shows a distinct geophysical anomaly at depth that corresponds directly to the mercury bull’s-eye previously identified at surface^. This large geochemical/geophysical target forms a semi-circle pattern wrapping around the Walker Ridge Eocene-dated intrusions.
The property features four independent correlating data sets (geochemical sampling and re-sampling, gravity, resistivity and U-Pb dated-intrusions) that collectively suggest Carlin-type mineralization potentially exists in the lower plate rocks at Walker Ridge.
Innovative Exploration Technique
In November of 2014, Nexus Gold received the results of a geophysical survey performed by Vital GeoSURVEY™ Ltd. The survey was conducted at the Company’s Walker Ridge Gold Project in October and November of 2014.
The survey conducted on the property identified 38 points of interest occurring in eight clusters over approximately a two square mile area (518 hectares) within the Company’s claim block. Seven of the clusters (in yellow below) are coincidental to anomalous mercury and antimony geochemical results as well as CSAMT and gravity geophysical anomalies previously identified on the property. The largest of the clusters is a new sizable target area situated along the eastern flank of the geochemical and geophysical anomalies mentioned above.

Vital’s approach is unique and is not a variation of other forms of geophysical detection technology. The technology permits the in situ detection and identification of the chemical constituents within host rock matrixes. This is accomplished by using values derived from known atomic and molecular components of a targeted material. In the case of Walker Ridge, the targeted material was gold (Au). The technology applies an energy injection to the targeted material. If the targeted material is present, a signature response is induced in the targeted material that is specific to this method and permits its detection from the surface. Its detection at surface is then catalogued as a “point of interest”.
The Company cautions investors that Vital’s technology is new in its use in mineral exploration and is not proven in effectiveness as an exploration tool.
